I have been to most (if not all) the bars in McLeod County and I would put the King Pin in the top 5. It doesn't have the most sophisticated menu, its mostly burgers and baskets, but what they have is really good. The atmosphere is definitely small town but you won't feel out of place if you happen to wander in. The owner Tim is a great guy and knows how to make a good drink. The beer selection is mostly domestic with some others thrown in, same with the liquors. It always irks me when some Uptowner wanders into a small town bar and orders some fancy beer the bartender has never heard of or expects the same beer selections as say The Bulldog. I digress. So remember where you are, play some pool, shoot some darts, or try your luck at pull tabs. Go ahead "dive" right in. (see what I did there?)
